November is National Adoption Awareness Month. One of the primary efforts of this month is to raise awareness of the 100,000+ children in foster care who are waiting for families. Efforts are also made to debunk the myths about adoption.
Author and adoptive parent Colleen Marquez is doing her share to communicate what she knows to be true about adoption. In her children's book, A Gift for Little Tree, she speaks of a parent's love, no matter how a child becomes part of the family.
